When Ellen Pao was filling up /r/punchablefaces and the loudest voices were complaining like Hitler had just been elected pope and demanding her ouster, /r/drama was there with the play-by-play. Oh man, and when it turned out that she was the only force holding back all the changes the rancorous defenders of /r/coontown were fueled by, it was a better twist than Shyamalan could come up with. This place is like a current events digest, if you will. And the thing about good journalism is that if there's an important detail required to fully understand the story, one shouldn't assume that the reader knows that detail.
